Carol is the longest remaining employee of Speedway Press. George Caruso Jr. hired her in 1972 and she been doing design, photography, writing, layout and sales, since the first days of company. She became involved with racing through the Caruso's association with the Oswego Speedway. Carol has grown to know racing and race promotions, having worked in the field now for four decades. Carol has a wealth of knowledge of short track racing and the people involved in it. In 2008, she had the honor of being the first woman to be inducted into the Oswego Speedway Hall of Fame. As the editor of the Oswego EAGLE program for many years she is involved in coordinating the writer’s stories, speedway news announcements, current sponsor information, and design and production of the program. An accomplished writer in her own right, fielding a weekly column in Gater Racing News, as well as guest articles in national open-wheeled magazines. Carol is also the ISMA traveling supermodified organization’s media person and is responsible for all their pre and post-race information in the newspapers and on the web site. On Saturday nights at Oswego Speedway, Carol can be found in the victory lane area helping out wherever she can. If you're one of her customers you will come to feel the care and knowledge she provides her accounts. Carol does not limit her capabilities to racing, however. She has worked closely over the years with the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce in preparing their directory. She is also the PR person for the Oswego Town Historical Society and is always willing to help out with community events.
