Company History
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and my firm, Mitchell Printing and Mailing, Inc., DBA Mitchell's Speedway Press. This page will describe a bit about our company and the services we offer. We hope you will agree that our references are outstanding. In fact, we were chosen as Vendor of the Year by Upstate Medical University, Central New York’s largest medical facility, named Business of the Year by Oswego County Arts and Culture, Business of the Year by the Greater Oswego Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Oswego County, as well as Business of The Year by the Small Business Administration.
What makes Mitchell's Speedway Press stand out from other printing, mailing & sign companies is our dedication to personal, professional service. All of our staff are highly trained. Our job is to serve you and your needs. We have the industry’s most advanced computerized estimating, job tracking and management system. Our networked system allows us to quickly provide you with fast, free quotes on different quantities and stocks. We then digitally track your order at all times, ensuring your delivery time is met.
Mitchell's Speedway Press is the only printer in central New York that has been cited in national studies with our computer-to-plate (CTP) system, whose quality and speed allow us to save you money and time.
In 2001, we introduced the area’s first and only complete direct mail facility. We can create, print and mail your campaign from our headquarters. Take a look at our direct mail page for more information. We specialize in direct mail projects for Associations including the New York State Technology Teachers Association and the National Association of School Law Enforcement Officers, offering database management of membership and periodical printing and mailing of membership packages.
Since 1930, when my grandfather, Weir P. Mitchell started the company, we have been family owned and locally operated. All of our employees work and live in this area, and we proudly support many local organizations. My wife, Kathy, and I are active members of not just the local business community, but also serve on various community boards. We consider it an honor to give back to the community we love.
In 2009, we purchased Speedway Press, the nation's oldest Racing program printer and moved into our new location at 1 Burkle Street, in Oswego, NY.
In 2014 we added large format signage printing, employing the highest quality large format sign printer, along with a lamination unit that can do 68" wide lamination to board, PVC and aluminium. Getting this unit into the second story of our building during a snowstorm is a whole other story. We are excited to say that large format signage printing has become a huge portion of our print production, going naturally with the marketing plan of many of our customers.
Our phones are answered by our own courteous, highly-trained personnel. You will always be speaking with a knowledgeable member of Mitchell Speedway's staff when you call. Our staff has been trained to serve you in a manner that is kind and friendly. It is our job and our mission to make you look good. We know that when you use us just once, you will be so pleased that we will become your printer of choice.
Mitchell's Speedway Press is committed to Total Quality, a way of doing business that focuses on fully satisfying our customers' requirements. We strive to achieve continuous improvements in the quality of our printing and services, and our work is 100 percent guaranteed. If our customers are not satisfied at any time, we will take all appropriate actions to resolve the problem to their complete satisfaction.
If you would like to talk to one of our customer service representatives, please give us a call at 315-343-3531, we would be happy to discuss how we can help your business succeed and prosper. Feel free to ask for John Henry when you call, and inquire about taking a 30 minute tour of our business, hosted by John. He provides a very fast-paced and interesting behind-the-scenes tour of how things work in a print show, and most of the businesses that have toured Mitchell's Speedway Press have commented that it was a lot more fun than they thought it would be!
